THE BEGINNING

1998

The 1990s saw a surge of European and American cars flooding the Chinese market through import channels. During this period, the Chinese automobile aftermarket was in its nascent stages. Independent repair shops struggled due to a lack of technology, standards, and access to technical data, all amidst the closed monopoly system of OEMs.

In 1998, Mr. Zhou Dajun, who graduated with his Master's degree in automotive engineering from South China Agricultural University, led three college students to establish HARSON in a metal shed in Guangzhou, dreaming of using their knowledge and skills to do something for the Chinese automotive industry. With excellent repair and maintenance technology and honest management, HARSON soon became the leading repair shop in Guangzhou.

HARSON Luxury Car Repair Chain

With the rapid growth of China's economy came the emergence of luxury cars. 4S workshops, the sole after-sales choice at the time, often faced overcrowding and customer dissatisfaction due to high costs and long waiting times.

Recognizing an opportunity, to improve mechanics' work efficiency and provide more professional service, in 2004, HARSON pioneered a focus exclusively on luxury car repairs, aiming to break the monopoly of 4S workshops, set industry benchmarks, and drive standardization and efficiency in the sector. It started chain operations, and today, the number of auto repair chain stores exceeds 260, covering 22 provinces and more than 100 cities. It has become the first option for luxury car owners in China.
